Network Neighbors

It is the Liaison Committee of MCP that "networks" with its "neighbors." Members Gail Rudolph, Joel Lind and Laureen Catlin "keep in touch" with theatre organizations, civic organizations and local government.

Currently, MCP is a member of two distinguished theatre organizations:

ACT Cincinnati is comprised of theatres in the Greater Cincinnati Area who choose to band together and aid each other in the pursuit of community theatre. The groups provide an outlet for the renting and sharing of their inventory and the sharing of ideas. ACT Cincinnati provides a judging system whereby experienced adjudicators can give feedback on member group productions. Those adjudicators also recognize excellence in theatre in numerous areas both performance and technical through the Annual Orchid Awards. Joel Lind serves as MCP's ACT Representative. OCTA, the Ohio Community Theatre Association, is comprised of groups throughout the state of Ohio, into Northern Kentucky and parts of West Virginia and Indiana. The association supports the work of community theatre providing resources for shared inventory, the exchange of ideas, presence to state government on issues affecting theatre in general, opportunities to showcase excerpted portions of member shows, an annual conference that includes educational workshops, seminars and networking, and conduits to national organizations with similar vision and goals. Joel Lind also serves as the OCTA Representative for MCP. To learn more about OCTA, visit their web site here.

Laureen Catlin and Gail Rudolph maintain relationships with the City of Mason, the Mason Historical Society and Mason City Schools.
