Live the Dream ... Tuna Style!
It's time to return to Tuna, Texas. You were introduced to the residents of the third smallest town in Texas in Greater Tuna. We visited the town for the holidays in A Tuna Christmas and now it is time to celebrate Independence Day in Red, White & Tuna. Yes ... there will be fireworks; perhaps not the type you would expect.
Many of your favorite characters are returning ... Petey Fisk, Vera Carp, the Bumiller Family, Arles and Thurston, Didi Snavely, Joe Bob Lipsey and, of course, Aunt Pearl. And, it's time to meet Star Birdfeather and Amber Windchime.
There are lots of questions to be answered ... Who will be crowned Tuna High School Annual Fourth-of-July Reunion Queen? Is the Arles Struvie and Bertha Bumiller wedding on or off again? Can Petey survive his latest publicity stunt in his quest to save his beloved animals? Will the Smut Snatchers ruin the latest Joe Bob Lipsey production? Has fame and fortune changed Stanley Bumiller?
Wondering if you should attend Red, White & Tuna if you haven't seen the others in the series? Wonder no more. Come and enjoy a hilarious evening or afternoon of theatre. Each Tuna show stands on its own. But be warned ... once you visit Tuna, Texas, you will want to go back there as often as possible. You will be trying to find out when you can see the other shows in the series.
Tuna aficionados mark your calendars for June 8, 9, 14, 15 & 16 at 8:00 PM and June 10 at 2:00 PM. Brandon Dunphy, Jay Fultz and Darren Lee will return to portray all of the characters once again. Producer Lara Gonzalez, Director Laureen Catlin and Stage Manager Becca McLaughlin will be there to lead the Tuna Team. The Dressers are sharpening their skills once more. It seems like every show the costume changes need to be done more quickly than the last time. The rest of the Tuna Tech Team are in place and ready to bring you another fun-filled show.
Performances are at Theatre 42, 2752 S. US Route 42, Lebanon, OH 45036. Tickets are $15 for adults, $12 for seniors and $10 for students.
