Mason Community Players is excited to present The Foreigner as its Fall offering.
From the pen of Larry Shue, this Obie Award winning show is a favorite of theatre troupes throughout the country.
It is the perfect recipe for laughter.

Take one shy, meek Brit named Charlie, a proofreader from a science fiction magazine.
Stir in his cheerful friend, a munitions expert in the British Army.
Set them down in rural Georgia in a fishing lodge owned by a sweet elderly lady, wise about the ways of the American South but clueless of the wide world.
Toss in a bitter debutante and her younger brother who some consider "a bit slow."
Add a two-faced preacher and a leader in the local Klan.
Sprinkle in the information that Charlie is a foreigner who does not understand English.
Now stir.

Hidden heartaches, dark secrets, devious plots, and treachery aplenty are revealed.
Charlie hears and "understands" them all.
How can he come to the rescue without revealing his own secret?
The solution to his dilemma comes with peals of laughter.
