Kicking off 2018 will be The Fantasticks directed by Rebecca Brewer. This classic musical of love and lessons slated for February is the world's longest-running musical. There has been a production of this show continuously since 1960. Come and see why audiences have kept this show in the limelight for nearly 60 years.
Slated for April, is the appropriately chosen Enchanted April directed by Becca McLaughlin. The play is the story of two unhappy housewives in post-WWI England who rent a villa in Italy with the help of two socialites to try and rejuvenate their lives. Find out how the Mediterranean sun changes them ... and the spouses they left behind.
We've visited Tuna in the fall and for Christmas and now it's time to celebrate Independence Day with our favorite residents of Texas' third smallest town in Red, White and Tuna. The show will be directed by Laureen Catlin, performed by the same three actors of former Tuna shows and presented in late June.
MCP's summer musical will be Man of La Mancha. Slated for the end of July and beginning of August, the show will be directed by Liz Olekas. It's time to revisit that classic story of the tale of Don Quixote and to "Dream the Impossible Dream" once again.
In the Fall (September/October), MCP will welcome Darren Lee to its slate of directors as he takes the reins for The Foreigner. This hilarious comedy investigates the outcome when a gentleman is believed to speak another language ... oh, the secrets he can tell!
MCP's 2018 Season will wrap up in November with a special musical revue directed by Perry Gary and Ann Sullivan. The revue is Sentimental Journey: A Salute to the USO. It will be time for some nostalgia and a trip down memory lane.
