Mason Community Players recognizes the contributions of its members through a variety of awards presented at its Annual Banquet. Members are also eligible for ACT Cincinnati Orchid Awards and for the Major Awards it gives to individuals in its theatres. MCP is also a member of the Ohio Community Theatre Association. MCP members have the opportunity to be recognized through that body, as well.

Each
year, Mason Community Players honors a number of members for their
dedication and community spirit. These members are honored at the
group's annual banquet. The 2023 Banquet was celebrated at The Lodge on January 7th.
Some
of the awards are humorous; some are in appreciation for service during
the year and some are to honor the continued and dedicated service of
many years. All are given in a spirit of gratitude for the members who
give so much of their time, their talent, their skill and their
knowledge to make MCP a success. Listed below are the individuals who
were recognized for their "contributions" in 2022.
Honored this year:
Bloody Smurfs (drawing blood in the service of MCP)
Erin Marie Schwartz ... for the great fall over the curb at the Western & Southern Parking Fundraiser resulting in cuts and scrapes of multiple body parts and a great deal of blood
Pete Padolik ... cut himself during strike of Nunsense
Jim Cronin ... cut himself in the process of doing renovation work
Phil Catlin ... cut himself on a putty knife that he was cleaning while doing renovation
Laureen Catlin ... sliced her finger on an Osterizer blade that had not been covered when she reached in a tub of properties being inventoried
MO-Trin Awards (harming one's self in the service of MCP without loss of blood)
Erin Marie Schwartz ... in addition to the blood spilled when falling over the curb mentioned above, she managed to blacken both of her eyes, and bruise other body parts
Lara Gonzalez and Robert Terry ... operated an auger for an entire day in the service of building a shed

Two sets of magnets were given ... one set acknowledged all of those who came to Reno Days, the Renovation Committee and the King and Queen of Reno: Jim Cronin and Lara Gonzalez for the hundreds and hundreds of hours spent making the Playhouse a theatre home
The second set acknowledged the members of the Paint Team, the CKaMP Committee members, and the CKaMP Commander Laureen Catlin for the hundreds and hundreds of hours spent "prettying" the Playhouse
A new recognition was introduced this year.
Anyone who had produced, directed, musical directed, choreographed or stage managed or served in more than one of those roles, was inducted into the
