Set amidst the wonder of the aurora borealis, Almost, Maine was the "Life" of Mason Players' 2026 Season. The show included nine interconnected vignettes exploring the complexities of love and relationships in life, and features characters experiencing the highs and lows of love in all it’s forms: finding it, losing it and all the unexpected ways it can change people. The play is set in various locations around the fictional, magical, and remote town of “Almost”; so remote it is “almost” not a town at all.
At its performances on February 20, 21, 22, 26, 27 & 28 audience members were treated to a backdrop filled with shining stars and an aurora borealis effect that shown at just the right moments in the play to accentuate the relationships being portrayed.
The stars were not only on the backdrop they were also ON the stage as 19 performers brought the show to life. In the cast were:
