Four members of the Childbloom Guitar Program from the St. Louis area, ranging in age from 13 to 18 are coming to Cincinnati Memorial Day Weekend. The four classical guitarists were invited by a recording studio to come and have a professional audio track created especially for them. Members of MCP are serving as hosts for the students and their families.
As a gesture of gratitude the students are going to put on concert.
Come and welcome them:
Friday, May 22 at 7pm
Mason Community Playhouse
5529 Mason Road, Mason
Admission will be entry into a 50/50 Raffle to benefit MCP and the performers. Entry is as little as one dollar for one ticket or as much as an attendee would like to spend on tickets to show their support.
(Childbloom did not ask for monetary support. MCP wished to show their support of the program.)
The students will be performing both in ensemble and as soloists. They will feature works from Olga Amelina Vera, Andrew York, Dieter Kiedler, and Kevin Taylor.
Childbloom is a national program with 22 studios located in 16 states. Begun in 1980, it was the first national program to introduce music to students specifically through guitar. It is the largest program of its kind in the US, accepting interested students from age 5 and up.
Please mark May 22nd on your calendar and come welcome Jonah Rosenthal, Josh Hughes, Harmony Catlin, and Kai Bealmer to Ohio, as they share this evening of classical guitar.
Everyone is welcome to hang around after the concert for socialization!
