50th Anniversary Picnic is May 21st

MCP is holding its Annual Picnic on Sunday, May 21st beginning at 3pm at the Mason Community Playhouse.

The picnic has evolved into an opportunity to make exciting announcements that involves the continued growth of the group. At Theatre 42, there were many Bonfire gatherings scheduled just for the fun of it. In 2022, MCP leaders took the opportunity to announce the acquisition of the current Playhouse at the picnic. Last year, the shows for the 2023 50th Anniversary were announced.

This year the big announcement will be the slate of shows for 2024, the first year of our next 50. 

This year MCP leadership will also take the opportunity to address the gathered members concerning a new  Anti-Harassment Policy,  and some changes to the  Performance Pledge.  There is also a proposal from the Board of Directors for some changes to the  MCP Code of Regulations.  It requires a vote of the membership for those changes to become a reality, and so, the Board is asking those present at the picnic to vote on the proposed changes.

There will be paper copies of all of the documents at the picnic. 

The business at hand will be conducted in between the consumption of food and beverages. Folks can come and enjoy the refreshments first, attend to the business, and then return to the fun. You will have to attend to find out when the big season reveal will be.
