Director Laureen Catlin, Assistant Director Deb Davidson, Producer Mary Stan Fizer, and Music Director Lara Gonzalez are excited to announce the cast of Schoolhouse Rock Live!.
The show boasts a cast of 45 individuals, which includes three toddlers, eight elementary school students, seven middle school or high school students, two college-age young folks, and 25 adults ranging in age from their twenties to their seventies. Together they will bring a touch of nostalgia to the Mason Community Playhouse stage by presenting the songs of the popular Saturday morning cartoon that insisted that learning could be fun.

Through song, the cast helps a teacher gain the confidence to face his first day standing in front of a classroom. They convince him that teaching does not have to be dull and boring, but creative and entertaining. Touching on grammar, math, and history, the familiar tunes burst into homes across the nation from 1973 to 1985 in the original cartoon series. The cast presents them in a unique way to bring the same creative learning to the Playhouse.
Schoolhouse Rock Live! will be performed September 6-8 and 12-14, 2024.
