Agatha's Christie's The Mousetrap
has the longest run of any play in the world. It premiered on the West End in London in 1952 and ran continuously until March 16, 2020, when it was forced to go dark due to COVID. The show reopened to audiences on May 17, 2021 and continues to be performed to this day.
The Mousetrap takes place in England in the years following World War II. The mystery begins as news spreads of a murder in London. A group of seven strangers find themselves snowed in at a remote countryside guesthouse, Monkswell Manor. When a police sergeant arrives, the guests discover – to their horror – that a killer is in their midst! One by one, the suspicious characters’ sordid pasts are revealed. Which one is the murderer? Who will be the next victim? Can you solve this world-famous mystery for yourself?
Mousetrap will be performed November 15, 16, 21, 22, and 23 at 8:00 PM and November 17 at 2:00 PM at the Mason Community Playhouse. General tickets are $20 with senior or student tickets at $15.
